Today the Brand New Robinson R44 Raven II arrived at the hangar. The Helicopter is the newest addition to the Heli-Hire fleet. We are now able to offer R44 type ratings.

We are now able to offer Robinson R44 type ratings to our students.
To improve its Sling Rating training and provide students with realistic scenarios, Heli-Hire has purchased a remote controlled grapple.
Heli-Hire has recently purchased a spidertracks tracking solution. The spider tracking device is a compact, self-contained unit, integrating a GPS receiver and transmitter in one small unit.
This unit provides peace of mind for both flight training, when students are completing solo cross-country flights, and for commercial operations.

A second fire bucket complete with foaming unit allows Heli-Hire to deploy both Hughes 500 helicopters in the event of a fire. The foaming unit allows for mixing of Class A foam with the water load to improve its effectiveness during aerial fire suppression operations.
During October, Heli-Hire was visited by a representative from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. The purpose of the visit was to assess compliance with policies and criteria for ongoing registration as a Private Training Establishment. We are pleased to report no deficiencies were found and Heli-Hire has maintained it registration.
