David Lealand
Director/CEO, Chief pilot
David is born and bred in Rotorua attending Ngongotaha Primary School, Kaitoa Intermediate and Western Heights High School.
David started his flying career at the young age of 19, this became something of a passion for David and in time he became a commercial pilot followed by an Agricultural pilot. David then went on to become a pilot instructor, he has taught many people how to fly and taken them through their PPL. David is rated for R22, R44, Hughes 300, Hughes500, MD520N, & AS350B2.
David has over 7500 hours flying experience, Heli-Hire LTD was formed in 2003 and has grown from strength to strength ever since.
Charis Work
Safety Manager
Charis is born and bred in Rotorua attending Western Heights Primary School, Kaitoa Intermediate and Rototrua Girls High School.
Charis came on board with Heli-Hire LTD in 2019 as the Safety Manager, personal assistant and administrator, although Charis has unofficially been involved with Heli-Hire LTD before that helping run The Roar trips.
